My name is Bruce Bennett, I’m an optician and the owner of Eye Gear Optical. I started in the optical industry in 1987. I’ve worked in almost every area of this industry with very few exceptions. I’ve worn glasses for many years and am quite familiar with the good and the bad. I want you to be as happy with your glasses as I am with mine. With that being said, I will analyze your prescription when you come in and ask questions to determine your expectations, needs and wants. Whether you are a first-time wearer or have had glasses for a lifetime, I’ll listen to you and recommend the best pairing for you.

I’ll be happy to walk you through the process of selecting an eyeglass frame from our display of almost 600 frames that best matches your prescription, occupation, recreational activities, and budgetary requirements. We offer eyeglass frames in plastic, metal, rimless and drill through styles.
Many of our frames come with spring hinges and most have a 2-year warranty from the manufacturer. I believe in quality products more than name endorsements and our inventory reflects that philosophy. The majority of our metal frames contain stainless steel, titanium, or memory metals.

Your lens selection process is very important, and I’ll do my best to match the design, material, and coatings with just the right amount of technology that best fits you. Whether you need visual correction for distance, reading, bifocals, trifocals, no line bifocals, or prescription sunglasses, I’ll get you the best match.

I believe a pair of glasses should first and foremost be a comfortable extension of you. I’ll adjust the frames behind your ears to conform to your physical attributes; make sure there is minimal temporal tension and position the nose pads (if necessary) to the correct slope and width of your bridge. If you are a bifocal lens wearer, I’ll make sure the frame has a favorable vertical lens tilt to give you a maximum viewing angle. I’ll also keep an adequate space between the lenses and your eyelashes to eliminate their interactions.

Prescription sunglasses are a must have for many of you and we are able to accommodate that in almost all eyeglass frames we carry. Whether it’s a basic tinted lens or a performance driven polarized style, I’ll walk you through the best fit for you.

If you have kids that need eyeglasses, we are happy to accommodate their needs. We have nearly 100 kids frames in stock in an assortment of styles, sizes, and materials. We provide shatter resistant lenses for all those under the age of 18. I have a pediatric specialty background and will provide the specific care for their active needs.
